What this site is not — and where to go instead if you need support.

Not medical or mental health advice

Feeling Forecast is a poll. It is not a medical device, a screening tool, a diagnostic instrument, or therapy, and nothing on it should be treated as medical, psychological, or professional advice. Picking a feeling here tells you nothing about your health, and neither does any pattern you notice in the charts.

Using this site creates no professional relationship of any kind. If you have a concern about your mental or physical health, speak to a qualified professional — and please do not delay doing so, or disregard advice you have already been given, because of anything you read here.

Not a crisis service

Nobody reads submissions as they arrive. There is no monitoring, no alerting and no way to reply to you — submissions are counted by a scheduled job and are not linked to any way of contacting you. This site cannot help in an emergency and must never be used to ask for help.

If you need to talk to someone now:

  • Anywhere: findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines by country.
  • US & Canada: call or text 988(Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or text HOME to 741741.
  • UK & Ireland: call 116 123 (Samaritans, free, 24/7), or text SHOUT to 85258.
  • In immediate danger: contact your local emergency number — 999 in the UK, 911 in the US and Canada, 112 across the EU.

Not a representative survey

The data has real limits, and it is better to state them plainly than to let a tidy-looking chart imply more than it should:

  • Self-selected. Respondents are whoever visited and chose to answer. That is not a random sample of any country, age group, or population.
  • Unweighted. Counts are raw. Nothing is adjusted for demographics, for which time zones are awake at a given UTC hour, or for a day when the site was linked somewhere busy.
  • Fixed vocabulary. You choose from a short list, so the results describe the list as much as they describe anyone's feelings. Nuance, mixed feelings, and anything not on the list have nowhere to go.
  • Only partly protected from manipulation. The bot check, rate limit, and per-day limits raise the effort needed to skew a day, but a determined effort could still move the numbers.
  • UTC everywhere.Days and hours are UTC, so "hour 9" is a different part of the day depending on where a respondent lives.

Do not use these forecasts for research, journalism, clinical, commercial, or policy purposes as though they were a measured statistic. They are a rough, public mood board.

No guarantee of accuracy or availability

Aggregation runs on a schedule and can fail, be delayed, or be re-run; days may be corrected or missing, and stored data may be reset. The site is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind — see the terms of use.

External links

Links to other websites, including the support organisations above, are offered for convenience. Those organisations are independent, are not affiliated with this site, and their availability, content, and practices are outside the operator's control. The listing above is not exhaustive and is not a recommendation of one service over another.
