Terms of use

By using Feeling Forecast you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The site is provided by the operator of Feeling Forecast, an individual, referred to below as "the operator".

1. What the service is

Feeling Forecast lets anyone submit one feeling from a fixed list, and publishes a daily aggregate of those submissions. It is free, requires no account, and is offered for general interest.

2. Who may use it

The site is not intended for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. It asks for no information that would identify your age, so this is a condition of use rather than something that can be checked.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit through automated means, or otherwise try to defeat the bot check, the rate limit, or the one-submission-per-day limits;
• submit repeatedly in order to distort a day's forecast, including by rotating browsers, cookies, addresses, or proxies to do so;
• attempt to access the admin area, the raw submission data, or any part of the system you have not been given access to;
• probe, scan, or test the site in a way that degrades it for other people, or attempt to interrupt or overload it;
• scrape the site in a way that places an unreasonable load on it — the published charts are free to read and quote, but automated bulk retrieval is not;
• use the site to break the law, or to help anyone else do so.

4. Your submission

A submission is a single choice from a fixed list, so it carries no content of yours and no copyright. Once submitted it becomes part of that day's counts and cannot be withdrawn individually — there is no identifier that would let the operator find and remove one particular submission. 5. The published forecasts

The daily charts are aggregate counts, not statements of fact about any population. They are made available for you to read, quote, and link to, with attribution to Feeling Forecast. The site's design, code, and text remain the operator's.

The forecasts may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong: aggregation runs on a schedule and can fail, a day can be re-run or corrected, and abuse controls reduce but do not eliminate manipulation. Read the disclaimer before relying on anything here.

6. Availability

The site is offered with no promise of availability. It may be changed, interrupted, restricted, or discontinued at any time, and stored data — including past forecasts — may be reset or removed. Access may be blocked where use appears abusive, and because the blocking signal is a network address, this can occasionally affect people who share one.

7. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit, or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the site or from any reliance on the forecasts. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

9. Links to other sites

Some pages link elsewhere, including to support organisations listed on the disclaimer page. Those sites are not run by the operator and their content is not endorsed or controlled.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated; the date below records when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
